Overall Objective for the Experience

Participants will learn about the literacy shifts DCB has implemented in the last few years based on SOR research and how that looks like in the classroom. Participants will have an opportunity to see reading instruction in action and reflect on how some of the practices can be transferred into their own schools.

Day 1 & 2:

Explore DCB’s History, School Model & Approach: Gain insight into DCB’s history, mission, lead values, and core components that drive student success.

Understand the history of Literacy at DCB and the shifts the school has taken in the past years as a result of the SOR research.��

Observe reading instruction in action and explore the high impact strategies DCB has chosen to focus on for Reading.��

Reflect�� on the learning and strategies observed and how to transfer them into your own schools.��
